Pakistan reports 613 new COVID-19 cases

ISLAMABAD: As many as 613 more people tested positive for the novel COVID-19 during the last 24 hours across the country, taking the number of confirmed cases to 289,831. 

According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 11 deaths from coronavirus have been recorded in past 24 hours, taking the number the total death toll is 6,190.

The number of corona active cases in the country is steadily declining to 12,116 now. The number of coronavirus cases in Sindh is 126,425. In Punjab 95,742, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 35,401, Balochistan 12,370, Islamabad 15,412, Azad Kashmir 2212 and Gilgit-Baltistan 2565 people were diagnosed with coronavirus.

The death toll from the coronavirus has risen to 2,185 in Punjab, 2,331 in Sindh, 1,239 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 175 in Islamabad, 138 in Balochistan, 61 in Azad Kashmir and 61 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to the NCOC, 22,859 coronavirus tests were performed in the last 24 hours and so far 2,340,072 tests have been performed across the country.

There are 130 patients on a ventilator in hospitals across the country. The number of coronavirus ventilators in hospitals is 1,920. There are facilities for coronavirus patients in 735 hospitals across the country and currently, 1,241 patients are admitted to the hospitals.

The graph of coronavirus cases in Pakistan is constantly coming down, but the threat of corona has not yet been averted. The first case of coronavirus in the country was registered on 26th February.
