Pakistan has reported no death in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of confirmed positive cases surged to 1,578,156. The nationwide tally of fatalities stood at 30,645 on Saturday.
According to the latest figures issued by the National Institute of Health (NIH), at least 109 people were tested positive for Covid-19 across the country in the past 24 hours.
Pakistan has conducted 5,320 tests in the past 24 hours, out of which 109 people tested positive. The Covid positivity ratio was recorded at 2.05 per cent.

Earlier, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) recommended guidelines for the period of up to the election day in Punjab after reports of fresh surge in Corona cases across the country.
Minister for National Health Services, Regultions, and Coordination Abdul Qadir Patel said the government had strengthened the role of Border and Health Services in the country to deal with any sub-variant of Covid-19.
