KARACHI: A further 41 deaths and 1,050 new cases have been reported in Pakistan due to the coronavirus.
According to the National Command and Control Center, the total number of deaths from coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 12,658 while the total number of affected people has reached 573,384.
The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad is 43,623, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 71,146, in Sindh 256,445, in Punjab 168,384, in Balochistan 18,993, in Azad Kashmir 9,878 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 4,951.
The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus was in Punjab where 5,237 people lost their lives while 4,293 in Sindh, 2,043 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 493 in Islamabad, 102 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 199 in Balochistan and Azad Kashmir. 291 people have lost their lives.

Coronavirus vaccination is underway in Pakistan and in the first phase, health workers are being vaccinated against coronavirus, while people above the age of 63 have also been vaccinated.
Adult vaccination centers have been set up across the country and the entire vaccination process will be controlled by digital mechanisms. For the first phase of vaccination, 189 vaccination centers have been set up in Punjab and 14 in Sindh, while 280 vaccination centers have been set up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 44 in Balochistan, and 14 in Islamabad.
