Pakistan has repaid 2,600 billion rupees of debt before the due date, Federal Finance Minister’s Advisor Khurram Shehzad has released the details.
According to the details issued by Federal Finance Minister’s Advisor Khurram Shehzad, the federal government repaid 1,633 billion rupees of debt to the State Bank ahead of time in 59 days, while on June 30, 2025, the Ministry of Finance had repaid 500 billion rupees of debt before the due date.
Two months later, on August 29, 2025, an additional 1,133 billion rupees of debt was repaid ahead of time, according to the Advisor to the Finance Minister.
The total volume of early repayments of debt to the State Bank has reached 1,633 billion rupees, according to Khurram Shehzad.
The Advisor to the Finance Minister stated that in the first half of fiscal year 2025, the Ministry of Finance had repaid 1,000 billion rupees, which was an early repayment of 1,000 billion rupees of commercial market debt.
Khurram Shehzad stated that combining central bank and commercial debt, more than 2,600 billion rupees have been repaid ahead of time.
