ISLAMABAD: At least 89 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country while one citizen has died due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Institutes of Health, a total of 1,529,560 people were infected with the coronavirus and 30,379 died of the virus across the country. The mortality rate remains at 2 percent.
In the last 24 hours, 17,343 coronavirus tests were performed across the country, with a positive case rate of 0.51%. The number of tests performed so far has reached 28.41 million while 86 patients of coronavirus are in intensive care.

None of the coronavirus patients have recovered in the last 24 hours across the country. So far, the total number of people who have been defeated by the virus is 1,495,830. The active cases of coronavirus have become 3,351.
Around 577,201 cases were reported in Sindh, 566,865 in Punjab, 219,616 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 135,312 in Islamabad, 35,494 in Balochistan, 43,324 in Azad Kashmir, and 11,748 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

In Punjab, 13,564 people died due to coronavirus. 8,106 civilians were killed in Sindh, 6,324 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,024 in Islamabad, 792 in Azad Kashmir, 378 in Balochistan, and 191 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
