Pakistan records over 303,000 recovered COVID-19 cases

ISLAMABAD: The number of patients undergoing treatment for coronavirus in Pakistan has dropped to 8,646 and 303,062 people have recovered.

According to the National Command and Operations Center, 671 new cases and 6 deaths of coronavirus have been reported in the country in the last one day. The total number of deaths from coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 6,558 and so far 318,266 cases have been reported.

The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad has reached 17,210. 100,484 cases have been reported in Punjab, 139,910 in Sindh, 38,273 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,498 in Balochistan, 3,900 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 2,991 in Azad Kashmir.

The coronavirus has killed 2,252 people in Punjab and 2,543 in Sindh. The death toll in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has risen to 1,263, in Islamabad 188, in Balochistan 146, in Gilgit-Baltistan 89 and in Azad Kashmir 77.

There are facilities for coronavirus patients in 735 hospitals in Pakistan and the number of ventilators for coronavirus patients in hospitals is 1,920. There are 132 testing laboratories operating in the country and trace, test, and quarantine strategies are working effectively in several cities.
