KARACHI: The ticket reservation system of the Pakistan Railways (PR) has crashed across Pakistan causing immense trouble to passengers.

The booking offices of the railways were scheduled to open at 8 AM in the morning but have not opened at the Cantt, City, and Landhi railways stations in Karachi.

Last week, Federal Minister for Railways Azam Swati had said that the government is taking effective steps to make the Pakistan Railway a profitable entity.

Talking to the reporters in Peshawar, the minister expressed determination to make the railway a profitable organization by taking pragmatic steps including recovering encroached lands and utilizing the properties in the best interest of the organization.
