KARACHI: Pakistan Navy and Anti-Narcotics Force have recovered 100 kgs of Crystal (drugs) from Pasni and Balochistan areas during intelligence based operations.
According to a press statement issued by Pakistan Navy, the drug was valued at approximately Rs 3 billion. The cache of drugs was to be smuggled to unknown destination thorough Arabian Sea.
The successful execution of joint operations against drug smuggling is a demonstration that despite prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation, said in the statement.
“The criminals are active and Pakistan Navy is vigilant to counter such illegal activities”. Pakistan Navy remains committed to thwart the misuse of Pakistan Maritime Zones for any unlawful act/purpose.
The seized drugs were handed over to Anti-Narcotics Force for further legal proceedings.
Earlier, Pakistan Navy along with the officials of Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) had seized 100 kilograms of heroin during a sea operation.
According to a press statement, Pakistan Navy and the Anti-Narcotics Force had conducted a joint intelligence-based operation at Pishukan near Jiwani, Balochistan.
The Navy spokesperson had informed that forces seized a huge cache of narcotics, including 100 kilograms of ice-drug in the joint operation.
The spokesperson further informed that a PMSA vessel approached a suspicious fast speed boat of suspected smugglers and seized the drugs and then impounded the boat.
