Pakistan has no role in global warming: Zartaj Gul

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul has said that Pakistan has no role in global warming.

Zartaj Gul has said that the country has been most affected by climate change. The responsibility of the institutions has increased after the 18th amendment as Pakistan is among the top 10 countries affected by climate change.

She said that Pakistan has been most affected by climate change by adding that before partition, Pakistan’s forest cover was 34 percent but the timber mafia had severely damaged the forests. She said that foreign magazines were praising Prime Minister Imran Khan’s  Green Pakistan Programme under which billion tree campaign is our goal and our government is committed to building a green Pakistan.

Talking about the issue of Occupied Kashmir, the Federal Minister said that Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is a part of Pakistan and the Kashmir issue should be resolved under UN resolutions.
