ISLAMABAD: Pakistan government has established a National Task Force (NTF) on artificial intelligence (AI) to create a 10-year roadmap for the accelerated adoption of AI in key sectors.
The force is comprised of 15 experts in AI, as well as representatives from the government and private sectors. The move is aimed at achieving the necessary goals for national development in areas such as business, development, governance, education, and healthcare.
Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal formed the NTF, highlighting the significance of AI for the nation’s progress in the near future. He emphasized that AI would bring transformative changes to the fields of economy, governance, and education.
The task force aims to harness the power of AI for Pakistan’s development and growth, ensuring that the benefits are accessible to all segments of society. The integration of artificial intelligence in governance, healthcare, and education systems has the potential to revolutionize these sectors and bring significant progress, said the minister.
The NTF comprises a diverse group of experts from academia, industry, and government who will work together to create a comprehensive roadmap for the adoption of AI in key sectors.
