Pakistan Army committed to country’s security: COAS Bajwa
ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has reiterated that the Pakistan Army was committed to the country’s defence and security.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS Bajwa made these remarks during his visit to the National Defence University (NDU) in Islamabad and addressed participants of the National Security and War Course.
Gen Qamar was received by Lieutenant General Muhammad Saeed, the NDU president, upon his arrival at the varsity, ISPR added.
The military’s media wing informed that the COAS Bajwa shared his thoughts on the security environment of the region and his vision of enduring peace in Pakistan.
COAS Bajwa further said that the Pakistan Army will continue to make all-out efforts for the provision of a secure environment for sustained socio-economic progress.
Highlighting internal and external challenges to the national security, COAS Bajwa said, “Full spectrum of these challenges demands comprehensive national response and strengthening of all state institutions.”
Earlier on June 3, ISPR Director General ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar expressed grave concerns over unproved ceasefire violations by Indian troops along the Line of Control (LoC).
DG ISPR Babar Iftikhar had warned that there will be ‘uncontrollable and unintended consequences’ of any military adventurism.
