ISLAMABAD: The meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will be held in the federal capital tomorrow as the delegations have started arriving to attend the meeting.
According to Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, there will be three sessions of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers meeting on December 19, the opening and closing sessions will be open while the working session will be on camera and the Afghan delegation has also been invited to the meeting.
According to Shah Mehmood Qureshi, after a long time in Pakistan, a meeting of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers is going to be held on December 19. The post-August 15 transitions in Afghanistan and its aftermath have raised a number of concerns.

At present, the economic crisis in Afghanistan is intensifying. Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that due to the economic and humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, the threat of invasion of refugees is rising again.
“After August 15, we formed a forum of six neighboring countries of Afghanistan to formulate a joint strategy. Its first virtual meeting is expected in Pakistan, second in Tehran, and third in Beijing,” Shah Mehmood Qureshi added.
“We have invited representatives of Muslim countries, as well as UN agencies, the P5 and major European countries, to the extraordinary meeting of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers,” he further said.
Preparations for the OIC Foreign Ministers’ meeting are in full swing in Islamabad. The highways were decorated with colorful lamps and beautiful banners by the district administration to welcome the guests. Preparations have been completed to welcome the OIC foreign ministers.
The security plan for the meeting was also finalized. Unauthorized people will be barred from entering the red zone while the highways of the standard red zone will also be closed for normal traffic.
