DALLES: National cricket team captain Babar Azam has said that our goal in T20 matches is only to win the World Cup.
According to him, he is focused on what the team needs from him, not looking at his records. While talking to the media, Babar Azam said, “We came to US after preparing well for cricket, we will try to give a good performance in the World Cup and achieve success. Having played in similar conditions in the past, training is going on indoors.”
During the conversation, the team captain said, “It does not matter if there is no warm-up match, we are coming to play. The matches are being held in America for the first time, so don’t think about what you are getting or not. Don’t think about the distance or facilities from the hotel.”
The captain of the national team said that high scores have not been seen in the matches so far, Shadab, Haris, and Imad have played in America before, so they understand the conditions. “No one’s batting number is fixed, they plan what is best for the team,” he added.
Captain Babar Azam said, “I have the most confidence in Shadab as a captain, he has given performances in various conditions which is useful in batting, bowling, and fielding trio. Hopefully, the conditions here will suit him.”
