KARACHI: The oil companies have stopped the supply of fuel to Karachi due to heavy rains that started last night in the city.
Various roads of the city are giving a view of the river, and several vehicles have been stuck.\
According to Chairman Petroleum Retailers Association Sameer Hussain, the condition of roads in Karachi is bad due to which almost all the oil companies have stopped the supply of oil. He said that the supply of oil will start after the situation improves.
Chairman Petroleum Retailers Association Sameer Hussain further said that petrol pumps were submerged in water and if supply was not restored then there is a danger of shortage of petroleum products.
The port city received high amounts of rainfall with PAF Base Masroor recording rainfall of 119.5mm. DHA Phase-II received 106mm of rain while 76mm was recorded in Quaidabad. 65 mm at PAF Base Faisal, 56mm in Orangi Town, 49mm at Old Terminal, 46mm in Gulshan-e-Hadeed and 29mm at Jinnah Terminal.
