WASHINGTON: Forbes has unveiled its annual list of the world’s highest-paid celebrities for 2020.
Forbes released the list of incomes of celebrities (athletes, actors, singers, models) in the year 2020, which has mentioned the 100 highest-earning celebrities.
US reality TV star Kylie Jenner tops the list. The star who is 22 years old earned 590 million in 12 months which can be credited to selling a 51 percent stake in her cosmetics firm in January.
Kanye West came in second, with $170m, most of his earnings collected from his Yeezy sneakers deal with Adidas. His wife, Kim Kardashian West, placed 48th, bringing in $49.5m.
Following Jenner and West, the 10 highest-paid celebrities are Roger Federer, Christiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Tyler Perry, Neymar, Howard Stern, Lebron James, and Dwayne Johnson.
The list does not include any Pakistani celebrities and only actor Akshay Kumar from India has made it to the list and is ranked 52nd. According to Forbes, Indian actor, Akshay Kumar’s income was 48.5 million, which was 65 million last year.
Forbes compiles the list by estimating pre-tax earnings from June 2019-June 2020, before deducting fees for managers, based on data from touring trade.
