LAHORE: Punjab education boards have announced not to hold any practical exams for the students of matriculation and intermediate this year.
According to the notification, the Punjab Board Committee of Chairmen has made a final decision not to conduct the practical examination. The notification related to practicals will be applicable to education boards across Punjab.
Practical numbers will be given in theory based on marks. Officials say the decision to take the practice was made in keeping with the precaution from the coronavirus. Due to the increase in the spread of the coronavirus epidemic, teaching activities in educational institutions have been suspended once again.

It has been decided that progress in the next class will now be based on homework. Children will not be promoted to the next grade if they do not complete homework. The practical exams for the academic year 2021 will not be held due to the ongoing health crisis in the country.
The decision comes amid a rise in the COVID-19 cases which has also led to the closure of schools from 26th November till 10th January. During the holidays, faculty members will visit institutions two days a week. Fifty percent of teachers will be present on Monday and 50 percent on Thursday.
