PIR WALA: At least nine members of a family were killed over a property dispute in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday.
According to details, a land dispute broke out in the upper Dir area which claimed nine lives. The dead and injured ones were immediately shifted to the hospital.
As soon as the incident was reported, police and rescue personnel rushed to the spot. The area has been cordoned off and a search operation has been launched to nab the suspects responsible for the incident.
Last week, a brazen gun-battle broke out between two groups in the Rawalpindi Chontra area that left 10 people dead and four others wounded.
Five women, four children, and a man were killed and four others were seriously injured in a clash. The firing incident took place in the area of Chontra police station between Azhar, Nazar, Imtiaz and Rab Nawaz groups.
The reason for the dispute is the murder of a woman in Myal village a few days ago and long-standing enmity. There was tension between the two groups due to old enmity while the incident took place after the husband of the woman who was killed three days ago, was released on bail to attend the funeral of Lord Nawaz.
