Social media users have speculated that a new Indian serial titled ‘Kaamna’ is an exact remake of the iconic Pakistani show ‘Meray Paas Tum Ho’.
Plagiarism in India is not new and ‘Kaamna’ is the latest Indian drama said to be a copy of Humayun Saeed starter ‘Meray Paas Tum Ho’, a hit drama series of 2019. Let’s have a look at the Indian drama serial’s trailer:
Same like ‘Meray Paas Tum Ho’, the Indian series’ trailer shows a sincere and hardworking husband and his demanding wife who have a son together. For her, money is everything and for her husband, it’s love and peace which he adores the most. Not only Pakistanis, even, but Indian social media users also claim that the show is a copy of the Pakistani drama ‘Meray Paas Tum Ho’.
This is not the first time, the Indian entertainment industry has copied a masterpiece. Previously, they copied Dhoop Kinaray which they premiered as ‘Kuch To Log Kahen gay’. Moreover, the Indian industry copied ‘Nadaaniyan’, and a few scenes from ‘Humsafar’.
Even in Bollywood, plagiarism in India is common, that too without even giving credit. An Indian singer Dhuvani Bhanushali, who had released her latest song ‘Mehendi’ was accused of plagiarising the song sung by Pakistani legendary singer Alamgir.
