Bridgerton, Netflix’s hit romance drama which gained fans around the world, has been confirmed for the renewal for a third season.
‘Bridgerton’ became a global phenomenon when it was released in 2020 and won praise for its diverse cast. Set in Regency-era London, the period drama is based on the books by Julia Quinn, with each focusing on a sibling of the Bridgerton family.
Season 3: Plot
The third season of the show skips the third book in Quinn’s series about Benedict Bridgerton to focus on the romantic relationship between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Hetherington, varying from the source material to explore their evolving dynamic.
The story will center on Colin’s proposal to mentor Penelope in her quest to secure a husband, leading to unforeseen twists in their association.

Produced by Shondaland, Bridgerton Season 3 is under the direction of showrunner Jess Brownell, with Shonda Rhimes assuming executive producer duties alongside Betsy Beers, Tom Verica, and Chris Van Dusen.
Cast: Who will return?
While familiar faces from previous seasons are set to return, including Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan reprising their roles as Colin and Penelope, respectively,
Phoebe Dynevor, who portrayed Daphne Bridgerton in Season 1, will not be making a return appearance for Season 3.
Parts and release date
The upcoming series will be presented in two parts. The initial segment, consisting of four episodes, is slated for release on May 16, followed by the second part on June 13.
