Netflix recently released a lighthearted French comedy ‘Spoiled Brats’ which tells a story of love and bond between their father and three spoiled children.
Originally titled Pourris Gates, the movie is about a rich family based in Monaco, where a hopeless wealthy workaholic father is worried about his three spoiled children Philippe, Stella, and Alexandre.
The story
In the initial scenes, it is seen how all of his three children are seen partying, hiring private jets and shopping, etc, and do not live up to father’s expectations. But the story takes a new turn when their worried father comes to know his only daughter has decided to marry a man who is after her money and as a result, he suffers a heart attack.
The twist
Hospitalised father now plans something unhealthy to bring his children together and away from materialistic things and cellphones and earn money and see the real life struggle. He fakes money embezzlement and starts living with his children in a basic home without ‘money’, resources, and ‘food’ from where things gets interesting.
A simple sum-up
“I know someone who tried to teach his children a lesson. He got schooled himself,” this dialogue is said by the father to his children in one of the scenes. It was simple yet amazing to watch.
Is it worth watching?
Spoiled Brats is an easy comedy fun-loving movie but something is for sure, the movie has a charm. It’s not just an ordinary comedy, in fact, this is a movie about a father who plans to educate his rich children’s perks of practical lives are.
