KARACHI: A two-day ‘Research and Technology Showcase 2022’ is being organized jointly by NED University and Sindh Higher Education Commission.

According to details, Sindh Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah will preside over the ‘Research and Technology Showcase 2022’ jointly with NED University and Sindh Higher Education Commission. Giving a message before the program, Shaykh-ul-Jamia NED Prof. Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi said that he believes that the technologies being introduced will lead to innovation in the affairs of life.

Sheikh Jamia said that better results can be achieved in less time with technologies. Provide opportunities for newcomers to technologies to brighten Pakistan’s future by introducing new technologies and research to the world.

Chairman Sindh HEC Dr. Tariq Rafi while expressing his views said that today the world is benefiting from modern technologies, the benefits of which are reaching the people. HEC Sindh strives for technology.

Secretary HEC Sindh Moin Siddiqui in his message said that our aim is to bring out the potential of Pakistanis through this showcase. Stabilizing industries through research and technology takes time.

According to NED spokesperson, Director Riazuddin said that in this showcase, about 32 universities across Sindh have to showcase more than 340 of their projects out of which 100 are NED projects.

The university spokesman said that the virtual model is a revolutionary step for the construction industry. Under the NED University VR Center project, billing costs can be controlled by testing the energy usage in any building.

Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Lyari University has developed a smart ‘wallet’ that makes it easy to find a lost wallet. The faculty of Sir Syed University has developed a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) device. When the heart stops beating, the doctor treats the patient with CPR by applying pressure on the chest with his hands. This automated CPR machine can save a patient’s life without human help. DHA Suffa University has developed an X-ray machine that specializes in reporting without the help of doctors. Dr. Shazia, a lecturer at NED University, said that he created a project for ion exchange members.

Project members will not only be able to purify water but will also be able to extract chemicals and metals from industrial wastewater. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed University (SZABIST) has developed a mobile app that is important for the food industry.

Given the current precarious situation, another project of NED University, Security and Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP) is of great importance. It is installed on the network to prevent system hacking.

Security is also possible from hackers due to STIP while it is the cheapest platform compared to the rates around the world. It may be recalled that under the NCRA project, NED University has the honor of making the cheapest ventilator for Corona patients.
