Nawaz Sharif has reportedly departed from Lahore for Geneva, Switzerland. According to sources, he will stay in Geneva for four days before travelling to London, where he is expected to remain for around one week.
During his stay in London, Nawaz Sharif is likely to undergo medical tests along with holding several political meetings, party sources added. However, no official details have been shared regarding the nature of these meetings.
Before leaving, he addressed a public gathering in Gilgit, where he recalled his past visits to Gilgit and Skardu during his tenure as prime minister. He expressed concern over the current condition of development in the region, particularly the state of roads and infrastructure.
He questioned delays in key projects, including the Mansehra–Gilgit road, asking why such initiatives had not been completed. He added that he did not want to criticize any political party but emphasized the need to understand why development in Gilgit-Baltistan had been neglected.
