ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar has said that the nation will have to fight the coronavirus epidemic together.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Asad Qaisar said that the coronavirus has damaged every field. “The government is active in tackling the coronavirus situation that has affected several people in the country.”
According to him, the parliamentary committee is working for coronavirus measures. On the occasion, Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noor ul Haq Qadri said, “There will be a policy for the whole country regarding praying in the mosques and Friday prayers.”
Qadri further said that there were some incidents related to the prayer gatherings which is tragic. Earlier on Friday, a woman SHO was injured while trying to stop people from praying in large numbers at a mosque in the city.
The incident took place in Peerabad, Orangi Town when police came under attack after attempting to stop a large number of people from offering prayers in a mosque over violation of Section 144. The police contingent came under attack when they were pelted with stones.
As the number of coronavirus cases continues to rise throughout Pakistan, the government has banned more than five persons [Imam, Muazzin and other management] from offering prayers in a mosque.
