Nadia Jamil is ‘officially cancer free’, shares heartfelt note on fighting the battle

Nadia Jamil, who was last year diagnosed with breast cancer, has recently announced that she has defeated the battle against cancer.

Taking it to Instagram, the actress while announcing she is ‘officially a cancer-free patient’, wrote, ” “All tests cancer clear. Shukar Alhamdolillah. Thank you all for your love, prayers and support. I have some nerve damage in my feet due to the brutal chemotherapy, but I shall live to dance my way because bhangra is all in the shoulders anyways.”

She also thanked everyone who has been by her side throughout her struggling period. “Thank you @scaryammi.anasir for giving me a platform to work, during my financially trying times,” she said, adding, “I’m also eternally grateful to all my friends and family. You know who you are. Some friends in the industry always felt by my side, Sania Saeed, Muniba Mazari, Sultana Siddiqui and Adnan Siddiqui. Thank you!” 

In 2020, Nadia Jamil had revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer and a grade three tumour. She took to Twitter and made the emotional announcement, “Last week I was diagnosed with cancer and now I’m four days into treatment.”

While expressing her series of emotions, she said, “Now four days into treatment. In the last few days, I have felt all sorts of feelings from apprehension, fear, unbeatable huge love to calm, acceptance, patience, overwhelming gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility to my children, parents, loved ones, myself and you.”
