LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif has been summoned by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in a housing society case tomorrow.
The NAB directed him to appear tomorrow along with relevant documents in a case pertaining to alleged corruption in the Sialkot housing society. Last week, Khawaja Asif skipped the NAB hearing where he was summoned in the case related to the Kent View Housing Society case.
Khawaja Asif’s lawyer Chaudhry Najamul Hassan submitted a reply in NAB Lahore stating that Khawaja Asif will not appear before the bureau due to the Assembly session.
The PML-N leader has been accused by the NAB of illegally selling 137 kanals of land with the connivance of the society’s management. He has also been accused of occupying the lands of citizens who have never sold their lands. The NAB has said that society has illegally occupied the land. Khawaja Asif has illegally used his powers.
