NAB office clash case: PML-N’s Imran Nazir arrested

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Khawaja Imran Nazir was arrested by police in a case regarding a clash outside the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) office during the hearing of Maryam Nawaz.

According to sources, police stopped the vehicle of Imran Nazir on Model Town Link Road and told him that the car was wanted by police in the NAB office clash case.

On the arrest, Khawaja Imran said that he is not afraid of such tactics of government and claimed that the PML-N rally on December 13 will be historic.

It is pertinent to mention here that a case was registered against Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz and other party leaders and workers in Chohang police station on the request of NAB against the attack on its office.

Prominent PML-N leaders named in the case include Rana Sanaullah, Muhammad Zubair, Javed Latif, Bilal Yasin, Imran Nazir and others. the case against PML-N includes sections of 353, 427, 148 and 16 MPOs.

The report stated that workers led by Maryam Nawaz pelted stones at the officials injuring 13 people including NAB employees. She attacked NAB at the behest of her husband Safdar Awan.

Meanwhile, PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz tweeted, “Zindabad Imran Nazir, zindabad. We are right behind you and will not leave you alone. They are mighty scared of mighty public response.” she added.
