ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has written a letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandyal, in which it has been said that the court decisions are an interference in the powers of the Assembly.
According to the details, Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf wrote a letter to the Chief Justice before today’s Supreme Court hearing. It should be noted that today the Supreme Court is hearing the request to hold the elections simultaneously across the country.
In the letter written by the Speaker to the Chief Justice of the National Assembly, it has been said that some of the recent decisions of the Supreme Court interfere with the powers of the National Assembly. Repeated orders to release funds are leading to unnecessary confrontation, it added.

In his letter, Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf informed Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandyal that it is the power of the National Assembly to pass the Finance Bill or not. The 3-member bench of the Supreme Court is ignoring the actions of the National Assembly.
It should be noted that funds for elections have not been released to the Election Commission yet. Raja Parvaiz Ashraf said in his letter that confrontation by the 3-member bench of the Supreme Court is harmful to the national interest.
