K2 Airways Releases Photos of Crew Members Aboard Missing Cargo Aircraft

K2 Airways has released images and details of the five crew members aboard its missing cargo aircraft, while expressing hope and prayers for their safe recovery.

The airline shared the information after its Boeing 737-400 cargo plane lost contact with air traffic control while operating a flight from Sharjah to Karachi.

The aircraft lost communication at 9:21pm Pakistan Standard Time on Tuesday night. Five crew members were on board the missing cargo plane.

The crew members included Captain Muhammad Rizwan Idris, the pilot in command, and First Officer Faisal Mahmood. Loadmaster Muhammad Taufiq Khan, engineer Arif Siddiqui, and engineer Muhammad Hamid were also onboard.

Relevant authorities are conducting a search and rescue operation for the missing aircraft. K2 Airways said it is fully cooperating with the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority and other government agencies in the ongoing efforts.

The airline management expressed concern and offered prayers for the safety of its crew members.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed grief over the disappearance of the cargo aircraft, which reportedly went missing after crashing into the Arabian Sea. He extended condolences and sympathy to the families of all five crew members onboard.

The prime minister directed the Civil Aviation Authority, Pakistan Navy, and Air Force to intensify the search and rescue operation, stressing that all available resources should be used to locate the missing cargo aircraft and its crew.

A search and rescue operation is underway after a cargo plane carrying five crew members disappeared while flying from Sharjah to Karachi, with authorities saying the aircraft lost contact after reporting a navigation system problem. According to the PAA, the Boeing 737 lost contact with air traffic controllers at 9:21pm local time (1621 GMT) after reporting a navigation system malfunction.
