Actress Mishi Khan has expressed strong disapproval of Dr. Zakir Naik, the renowned Islamic scholar, for his recent remarks criticizing Pakistan and its national airline.
In a video shared on Instagram, Mishi Khan harshly criticized Naik, comparing him to Indian poet Javed Akhtar, who had also made controversial statements about Pakistan during a previous visit.
In her message, Mishi highlighted that being a state guest does not entitle individuals to take undue advantage, referencing Naik’s alleged complaints about excess baggage and his criticism of the national airline.
She expressed frustration, pointing out that if Naik praises India and criticizes Pakistan, he should stay in India, where the political and social climate might limit his freedom of expression.
Mishi also condemned Naik’s controversial statements about women, stating, “You should educate men instead of using such language about women.” She urged him to be more mindful of his words and called on the government to reconsider offering state protocol to individuals who speak negatively about Pakistan after enjoying its hospitality.
Mishi concluded by questioning the nation’s self-respect, asking why figures who undermine Pakistan are treated as honored guests.
