LAHORE: The Lahore High Court will resume hearing a bail petition filed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
The Court has summoned lawyers Maryam Nawaz for arguments in her bail plea. The plea will be heard by the Justice Baqir Najfi.

In a previous hearing, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) submitted their written replies over Maryam’s bail plea.
The court while granting one-day time to Maryam Nawaz’s lawyer for review NAB’s response, adjourned the hearing today.

Defence counsel in the hearing said that Maryam Nawaz was in jail on judicial remand after completion of her physical remand.
The counsel further said the NAB has completed its questioning over the case.

On 8th August, Maryam Nawaz along with her cousin Yousuf Abbas was arrested by the NAB in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
The NAB revealed that Maryam used Chaudhry Sugar Mills for money-laundering and illegal transfer of its shares.
