Singer Miley Cyrus has offered her condolences and support to those affected by the devastating wildfires currently ravaging parts of Los Angeles. In an emotional Instagram post, the 32-year-old singer recalled the loss of her Malibu home in the 2018 Woolsey fire, sharing a haunting image of the ruins where her house once stood.
“This image hits me hard in the heart today,” Cyrus wrote. “This photo was taken in 2018 after we lost our home to the Woolsey fires.” She described the painful experience of returning to what was once her sanctuary, only to find “a pile of ash and rubble” where her front porch used to be. “It’s a feeling you can never forget,” she reflected, “walking up to a door that used to welcome you, only to be greeted by devastation.”
Cyrus empathized deeply with those currently enduring similar losses, stating, “My soul hurts for those going through this. I cry for my city. It’s just too heartbreaking.” She also acknowledged the widespread destruction of Los Angeles, a city known for representing dreams, now becoming a symbol of “wreckage and loss.”
In her post, Cyrus expressed solidarity with various organizations that are actively fighting the fires and assisting survivors. “It hurts deeply for now, but we will heal,” she concluded, offering a message of hope and resilience: “Love always, Miley.”
Meanwhile, supermodel Bella Hadid also shared her heartbreak over losing her childhood home in the ongoing wildfires. Posting an emotional picture of her family’s house engulfed in flames, Hadid wrote on Instagram, “Thank you to everyone who reached out to help. We lost our home where I spent my childhood, where I loved. The house that holds so many memories, my mother built this house with love 30 years ago, I will miss my house on Carbon Canyon Road very much.”
Both celebrities, along with countless others, are grappling with the widespread devastation caused by the fires, which have destroyed tens of thousands of homes across Los Angeles, including those of several other notable figures.
