National Assembly session to be held today

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the National Assembly will be held today under the chairmanship of Speaker Asad Qaiser in which various issues including finance bills will be considered.

PM Imran Khan decided to take the allies into confidence before the National Assembly session. The parliamentary party meeting will formulate a plan of action for approving the mini-budget and dealing with members of the opposition.

All members of the National Assembly were instructed to arrive at the National Assembly at 2 pm today. The Chief Ministers of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will host a dinner for the members during which discussions on political issues are expected.

Opposition parties, on the other hand, are ready for the traditional confrontation. All parties including PDM and PPP have completed preparations to give tough time to PTI. There will be a full-scale protest against the mini-budget.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif will lead a united opposition demonstration against the mini-budget inside and outside Parliament. There will be a lot of slogans against the government.
