Aslam from Manora, is also one of the God-gifted human being with immense talent. Aslam makes ships and boats by with plastic and cardboard.
In terms of profession, Aslam is associated with the army but also works as a boat builder as an amateur. MM News arranged a meeting with Aslam, the details of which are available here.
Talking about this hobby, Aslam said that he has not learned this work from anywhere but this ability is naturally present in him. He said that he used to make pottery as a child, which people living around him loved and bought.
Aslam further said that later his inclination was towards making boats and he is doing this only as a hobby as his aim is not to do business.
Regarding the production of boats, he said that this boat is very laborious because it is carved with the help of tools instead of machinery, which takes at least a month to make.
Aslam said that first, he draws a picture of the boat, from which he estimate how big the boat is to be made, and then he builds it bit by bit, using special cardboard and plastic.
He added that he also make small boats and ships here which take less than three months to make. Aslam said a woman who belonged to US, had made models of historical places and took with to the US.
