Drama serial ‘Mayi Ri’ is a unique story that features child marriage, however, many social media users are outraged over its storyline.
The drama which airs on Ary Digital at 7:00 pm daily has been produced by Mustafa and Dr. Ali Kazmi. The storyline has been written by Fahad Mustafa’s wife Sana Fahad who has previously written the popular drama ‘Rang Laga’.
Directed by Meesam Naqvi, the cast of the drama includes Aina Asif, Samar Abbas, Nauman Ijaz, Maria Wasti, Maya Khan, Sajida Syed, Saad Faridi, Amna Malik, Paras Masroor, Usman Mazhar and Diya Mughal.

So far, around 15 episodes of the drama have been aired. The story revolves around a young school-going couple who were forced to marry by family members. In the drama Annie and Fakhir are trapped in a forced marriage.
The marriage was shown in a negative context where the two individuals were not ready to marry and they didn’t want to accept each other as husband and wife.
