ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has highlighted the audio leaks and said that Maryam Nawaz neither made any recommendation nor asked for any concession for her son-in-law.
According to details, PM Shehbaz Sharif said in his statement on the issue of audio leaks that Maryam Nawaz did not recommend her son-in-law, nor did she ask for a concession. “Did 190 million pounds come from Britain? I didn’t even pay 19 rupees,” he maintained.
In the statement, the prime minister said that if he has given any concession to Maryam Nawaz without justification, then he is ready to accept any punishment. “The issue of audio leaks is a matter of the dignity of the state, not the Prime Minister. Who will come to the Prime Minister’s house for a meeting?”, he said.
Describing Imran Khan as a threat to the country, the prime minister said that Chairman PTI has poisoned division in the country. No effort was spared in dividing the Pakistan Army. What happened to Maryam Aurangzeb in London is in front of everyone.
He said that there is no need to investigate the cypher. “The agencies have told that there was no conspiracy against Imran Khan. It was told in the National Security Committee meeting that no politician did anything wrong,” he added.
