ISLAMABAD: Federal Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has claimed that Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb did not retain any gift received during official visits.
Marriyum Aurangzeb, it may be added here, has been one of the most consistent personality in the coalition government of PDM which bashed PTI Chairman Imran Khan for the gifts he retained from Toshakhana, calling him ‘Ghari Chor’.
The federal ministry, apparently on the directives of its top brass, posted a tweet last night saying “Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting Ms Marriyum Aurangzeb didn’t retain any gift at all and deposited them in Tosha Khana.”
The ministry also shared a picture of the official record showing that a Rolex watch with a serial number
W278343RBR-0024 having model 96 PA Oyster M96PA0021 worth Rs. 2.75 million has been deposited in Toshakhana by the information minister on May 19, 2022.
