LAHORE: Commissioner Lahore Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa has ordered to close all schools and colleges at 12 pm on Monday which fall on the route of the rally of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
PTI Chairman Imran Khan had called off the rally when the Caretaker Punjab government imposed section 144 for the second time in couple of days citing security for PSL, Marathon race and other events.

The Caretaker CM Punjab Mohsin Naqvi had claimed on Twitter that the Section 144 ban was imposed only for Sunday.

Interestingly, almost at the same time the ruling party PMLN was holding its workers ‘convention, Jashan-e-Baharan taking place at Jilani Park, Lucky Irani circus at Iqbal park, Light & music show-fort Shahi Qilla and 40 Km marathon all in Lahore on Sunday.
In a notification, Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Randhawa ordered to close all the shops along the route of the rally and the bazaar after 12 pm due to security threat.
The Commissioner Lahore is reported to have informed Secretary Schools, Higher Education, Deputy Commissioner Lahore, Secretary I&C and other relevant quarters as well about the time management vis-a-vis PTI rally.
