Renowned fashion designer Maria B leaves no chance to be in a headline for the controversial or poor choice of words. Last time, she landed herself in hot water after posting multiple stories on her Instagram account with transphobic comments.
Now, the designer in an interview clarified her stance and said, “There is an important issue which needs to be discussed, in Pakistan, we have an intersex community, which is known as khawajasara community.”
Recently, an act for the intersex community was passed which was hijacked by the people who pretend to be intersex but they are not, when we read that transgender act we realized that the bill is not at all about the intersex community but it’s promoting some other agenda.”

She continued, “The intersex act was hijacked basically, now we are working with Jamat E Islamic Senator Mr. Mushtaq, we are working for giving the rights to the intersex community who needs to be given rights on priority basis ,(trans community will be seen later on).”
While explaining who transgenders are, she said, “Transgenders are once normal girls and boys who thought that they had opposite gender’s traits and they declared them of that gender, they were born normal.”
