A man’s nose was allegedly cut off by armed suspects in Rahim Yar Khan after his son married a woman of his choice.
According to details, the incident took place in the Jamaluddin Wali area of Rahim Yar Khan, where armed men attacked a house reportedly over resentment towards the son’s marriage.
The victim said the armed suspects abducted him from his home and took him to nearby fields, where they allegedly cut off his nose before fleeing the scene.
Police officials said a case has been registered in connection with the incident and efforts are under way to arrest the suspects.
Earlier in May, more than 100 houses were set ablaze in the village of Muhammad Siddiq Arain, located in the Thull tehsil of Jacobabad district, Sindh, following a dispute over a court love marriage between individuals from the Buriro and Channa communities.

A young woman from the Channa community married a man from the Buriro family of her own free will and released a video statement regarding their protection.
Following the viral marriage videos, armed individuals allegedly targeted the village, setting fire to over 100 homes and leaving families displaced and without shelter
