Body of minor girl found stuffed in sack in Karachi’s Quaidabad drain

A body wrapped in a sack, believed to be that of a 6 to 7-year-old girl, has been recovered from a drain near a wedding hall in Karachi’s Quaidabad area.

According to local media reports citing rescue sources, the body of a little girl was found stuffed inside a sack and dumped in a drain near a wedding hall in Quaidabad.

Police and rescue teams reached the scene and launched a further investigation into the incident.

Police and rescue officials said the girl’s face had deteriorated, making the body unidentifiable. The remains were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medico-legal procedures, where a DNA test will be conducted to establish her identity.

Following the discovery, a family whose daughter went missing on August 13 was also called to the hospital.

The family said their missing daughter is named Ayesha Gulalai and that a missing-person report had already been registered at the Quaidabad police station.

However, the family said they cannot currently confirm whether the body recovered today is that of Ayesha Gulalai.

They said the girl’s face is unrecognizable and there are no immediately identifiable marks or other features that could establish her identity.

Teenage missing boy found dead in Multan’s Shujabad

A 14-year-old boy, identified as Adnan, who had been missing for two days, was found dead near a railway line in Shujabad, Multan, police said.
