ISLAMABAD: A man, who was a menacing campaign against the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) on social media platforms, has been arrested.
Hailing from Rawalpindi, the law enforcement authorities arrested him over a disturbing trend of online threats directed towards prominent figures within the judiciary.
As per sources, he conducted this nefarious campaign on February 20, utilizing various social media channels to propagate threats and character assassination against the Chief Justice.
The arrested man is now in custody, however, efforts to root out the remaining culprit of this campaign are actively underway.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the challenges posed by the misuse of social media platforms to disseminate threats and misinformation.
