The upcoming romantic comedy Love Guru, starring Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed, made history as its trailer lit up the iconic Times Square in New York. It is the first Pakistani film to receive this honour.
The grand screening attracted a lively crowd, with both Mahira and Humayun in attendance. The stars mingled with fans, snapped selfies, and captured the celebratory moment on video.
To mark the occasion, a special event was held at Times Square, adding to the excitement surrounding the film’s much-anticipated release.

The cast has been actively promoting the film across various cities in the United States, beyond just New York. Several videos of Mahira and Humayun’s promotional activities have gone viral, including a clip of the duo dancing to the film’s energetic song “Aa Tenu Mauj Karawan.”
Love Guru is set for a worldwide release this Eid-ul-Adha, including in Pakistan and the U.S. The film’s songs and trailer have already generated considerable buzz online.
While the trailer keeps the full storyline under wraps, it hints at a playful yet emotional journey. Humayun Saeed appears to play a charming flirt who later finds true love after being entrusted with a responsibility by Mahira Khan’s on-screen father, played by veteran actor Javed Sheikh.
Shot in London, the film portrays Mahira Khan as a bold, artistic, and elegant woman, while Humayun Saeed’s character is seen romancing various women around the city, until fate intervenes.
The film is written by Vasay Chaudhry and directed by Nadeem Baig, with Humayun Saeed also serving as one of the producers. Love Guru will be released on Eid ul Azha under the ARY Films banner and promises a mix of romance, humour, and cultural flavours with a Pashto-Punjabi comedic twist.
