ISLAMABAD: The accountability court has extended the judicial remand of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Miftah Ismail for 12 days in the LNG case.

The case of Abbasi along with Miftah Ismail and Imran-ul-Haque was heard by judge Muhammad Bashir in LNG case hearing.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) appealed for another extension into the remand of the accused. The court extended their judicial remand till November 19.

The PML-N leaders are accused of being involved in awarding a 15-year contract for an LNG terminal against the rules when Abbasi was petroleum minister in the cabinet of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
Abbasi was arrested by NAB while en-route to Thokar Niaz Baig in Lahore on July 18 in a multi-billion-rupee case related to the LNG import contract.
