LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) will hear the plea filed by Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz after over removing her name the Exit Control List (ECL) today.
LHC judge Justice Tariq Abbasi will conduct the hearing of Maryam Nawaz’s plea in which the court will decide whether to permit the PLM-N leader to travel abroad or not.
Earlier, the PML-N leader filed a petition in the previous month in which she requested the court to direct the federal government to lift her name from the ECL so she could travel abroad to look after her ailing father.
However, her request was rejected by the federal cabinet meeting during its session conducted under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan that decided to keep the name of Maryam from the ECL.
Maryam’s family including her brothers and have already been staying in her London residence to look after her father Nawaz Sharif.
