LAHORE: The Lahore police on Tuesday booked some 20 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers – five nominated, 15 unknown – on charges of snatching weapons and torturing a special branch official during ruckus that took place when PTI Chief Imran Khan arrived at Lahore High Court yesterday.
The FIR was registered on the complaint of special branch official Jehanzeb Sohail under six different sections.
According to the FIR, the PTI supporters tortured the special branch official at the behest of Hisan Niazi and Ahmad Khan Niazi. The armed accused snatched the official pistol and bullets from the complainant who was performing security duty during the arrival of former prime minister to the Lahore high Court on Monday, read the FIR.

On the other hand, Hassan Niazi claimed that SHO rehan registered completely fake FIR against him. “I have requested Lahore Bar president to take notice of this and request session judge to summon him to court.Example should be made out of people who break their oath and misuse their powers,” he wrote while taking to Twitter.
Other people nominated in the FIR included: gunman Imran, Amir Wazir Khan, Sajjad Commando and others.
