Police have arrested the main accused after a woman was allegedly gang-raped in the Garden Town area on the pretext of offering a job, while the search for the other accused is underway.
According to the police, the Chowki Raja Market team traced and arrested the accused Imran with the help of modern technology.
According to the initial investigation, the accused called the victim to Kalma Chowk on the pretext of getting her a job at home and then took her on a motorcycle to a house in Garden Town.
Police say that the accused along with his two accomplices gang-raped the woman and also made an indecent video of the incident.
The accused tried to force the victim to remain silent by threatening to make the video viral.
A case of the incident has been registered against one named and two unknown accused on the complaint of the victim.
Jehandad Akram says that raids are being conducted to arrest the other accused and the elements involved in the exploitation of women do not deserve any concession.
According to the police, further investigation of the case is underway and the remaining accused will also be arrested soon.
