LAHORE: A special court in Lahore on Tuesday sentenced a convict to ten-year imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs300,000 in a rape case.
According to details, the special court for gender-based violence in Lahore announced the punishment for convict, Waheed Tariq Butt, to tens in prison and a fine in the verdict over raping a girl.
Earlier, following his crime, a complaint had been filed in Mughalpura police station in 2018. The crime was proved against the man after the emergence of DNA report and testimonies of witnesses.
