PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to reduce school hours and suspend morning assembly and lunch break in educational institutions.
A statement issued by the education department also banned the holding of morning assemblies in schools. As per the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department, school hours in KP have also been changed.
High school holidays will be at 1:30 a.m., and primary school hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The education department has directed the administration to strictly implement SOPs in schools.

It may be recalled that Khyber Medical College Peshawar has been closed for two weeks after cases of coronavirus came to light. The college administration said that it has been decided to close the college following the instructions of the health department.
The hostel of Khyber Medical College Peshawar was closed after the confirmation of coronavirus in four female students. The female students of the medical college have been quarantined while the girls’ hostel has been closed for two weeks.
