ISLAMABAD: The Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has approved a digital loan product named ‘Khudmukhtar Khawateen’ for small businesses run under women’s supervision.
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has approved the country’s first such digital financing product which is exclusively dedicated for micro, small and medium enterprises run under women’s supervision.
Under this product, the company will provide asset financing to women entrepreneurs ranging from 100000 rupees to 1.5 million rupees based on the results of their credit assessment.
This step is an important move toward SECP’s agenda of promoting financial inclusion and expanding access to formal finance for women entrepreneurs, a segment that has traditionally remained underserved in the country.
This innovative product has been named ‘Khudmukhtar Khawateen’ and has been developed by Wali Financial Services Private Limited.
This product will provide completely digital and Shariah compliant asset financing designed specifically to meet the financial needs of small businesses owned by women.
This financing facility will be provided through the company’s already whitelisted digital listed lending application ‘Hakim’.
Eligible applicants will be able to complete the entire financing process digitally. Approved financing can be used to purchase business related assets through the integrated marketplace available within the platform.
Selected assets will be delivered directly to the borrower’s registered address. Financing amount of 12 will help supervised institutions acquire productive assets while managing their cash flow effectively.
Wali Financial Services Private Limited is a licensed Non-Banking Finance Company engaged in investment finance services and is currently providing digital nano financing through its mobile application.
After SECP’s approval of the ‘Khudmukhtar Khawateen’ product, the company will be able to move beyond consumer financing and provide financing to the MSME sector.
Lending NBFCs are playing a significant role in providing finance to underserved segments in Pakistan, which provided financing of approximately 111 billion rupees to a total of about 7.5 million micro and small businesses during the six-month period from July 2025 to December 2025.
