KARACHI: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that Karachi would witnesses a long period of cold weather this year.
The met office has normally the cold breeze continues in the Karachi till mid-January, adding, “The winter season will continue in the city till the end of the February.”
The met officer further said that a new system of western winds would enter the Northern Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on January 24.
These winds would become a source of extending the cold-weather season in Karachi.
Earlier on January 18, according to a weather report, the cold wave continues to persist in Karachi and minimum temperature on Saturday morning recorded at 07 degrees Celsius.
